Butter and candle making is underway at Camp Fitch! We are trying “twisty candles” this year and the kids accepted the challenge! 🤩

Teacher assistant for the day, Everly, helped update our postcard bulletin board. We need postcards from: CT, DE, HI, ME, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NC, ND, OK, RI, SC, & VT.

Shout to our student Henry for 3D printing ghost seals and spiders to sell in our PBIS Team Store! Second day of school and he’s already bringing his talents to the East Side of Nord! 🦭 🕷️

We call this the “Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel Simulation.” Some comments I heard from the students: “Imagine if you dropped the paintbrush.” “Imagine if you dropped the paintbrush on your FACE.” “It took him how long?!” Mission Accomplished 😌

We were busy with Right to Read Week Activities today. Dr. Koehler stopped in to speak to the kids about creative writing and his “So Many Secrets” book series. Also, a big thank you to Allie from @SteeleSoftball for reading a few chapters of our novel to us.!

To introduce our Renaissance Unit, the students took a Google Earth Tour of Europe to visit locations important to the movement. Obviously we had to learn how to draw Mona Lisa 🖼️ 😏

After finishing our Don Quixote Unit, our students used Canva's Magic Media Tool to create images of the infamous knight for their Time Magazine Covers. He looks great!

The final total for our V-Day Service Project coin drive is in!!! Thank you #NordSchool students, staff, and families for donating $4,024.65 to Buncombe County Schools in NC!!! Thank you @nord_pto for all your support and for mailing our donation and cards!!

We spread the LOVE to our classmates and the students of Buncombe County Schools in NC today! They have something really special coming their way! 🫶🏻
