OIL LEAK: A cracked pipe leaked oil and water onto a drilling property near Holiday Harbor just north of Terminal Island, triggering an early morning investigation and ongoing cleanup. Evacuations for live-aboard vessels at Docks C & D have now been lifted. No injuries reported.

This stolen minivan pursuit started around 10:50am in Ventura County. We tracked it down the 101 and 405, through Orange County, and into San Diego County before handing it off to the SD helicopter. It kept going! Authorities confirmed it crossed the Mexican border around 1pm.

A snippet of yesterday's coverage while police swarmed LA Academy Middle School. The LAUSD campus was placed on lockdown after a student reported seeing a teen with a gun, triggering an "active shooter" call. We now know there was no shooting, no weapon found, and no victim.

Dark and early at home base. Caught the waning gibbous in a perfectly clear sky at the start of today’s AM shift.

Multiple agencies involved in this one. @OCSheriff AND @CHPsouthern sent helicopters to track this pursuit after it took off near Santa Ana. Suspect drove through OC on the 57 North and eventually surrendered off the 60 West in South El Monte. Driver and passenger arrested.
