I've received an alarming number of calls RE postal votes in York. 🧵 This thread explains how you can have your postal vote reissued in person at West Offices allowing you to complete and return it immediately.

Great fun at Naburn Gala with delicious cakes, music from York Concert Band, dog shows and much more. May need more practice on the coconut shy though!

Glorious sunshine for Bishopthorpe Schools Summer Fair yesterday. Great to see so many in the community enjoying the day and supporting local schools.

One of the reasons why York’s schools have such brilliant ratings is the support of charities like @MusicShephard. It was a privilege to see so many schoolchildren perform on Friday at Make Music Day - special thanks to @RufforthSchool for letting me join Bamboo Tamboo class!

Now time to try my best at the Song and Dance quiz - I may not win but every quiz sold raises vital funds for the Ruach Project. 🎵🎭

No better place to take my team for lunch when campaigning in Poppleton than Coffee on the Green. Tasty food and a warm welcome, as always. The Methodist Church is a great community hub with groups meetings throughout the week, including Dementia Hub who I joined after lunch.

Amongst the mania of a General Election campaign, somethings are still business as usual. Great to have the support of my Association at our AGM last night with just over two weeks to go before polling day.

I've been out and about the past three weeks with my team knocking on thousands of doors. With less than three weeks to go, I'm excited to talk to even more residents. If you see me on your street, do say hello!

Rain didn't deter the crowds from the Strensall Carnival! Lots of stalls raising money for fantastic causes and a selection of great homemade cakes to enjoy with a cuppa 🍰☕️

Feel privileged to have the support of my incredible teams on the doorstep each day. We've already had thousands of conversations and will have thousands more in the final three weeks. Looking forward to each and every one.

An honour to join veterans and villagers in Dunnington yesterday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings, give thanks to all those who fought to defend our freedom and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

All this campaigning is thirsty work! A fun few hours yesterday with some of my fantastic campaign team at Poppleton Beer Festival.
