@WallStreetMav @GaryBohm5 It increases the assets on the balance sheet. That is real. Not sure how practical it is to value gold at a number that would make a difference though. At 10k an ounce, it might offset this years interest on the debt expense.

@GaryBohm5 The US revaluing its gold holdings doesn’t change the reality at all. It is an accounting entry. We would still have $40 trillion in debt and $2 trillion budget deficits and spending 25% of govt revenue on interest payments.

The U.S. relies on its 8,133-ton gold reserve to provide a veneer of credibility to its staggering national debt. To return to the debt-to-gold coverage ratios seen in the 1970s and 1980s, the U.S. must either acquire vastly more gold or revalue its existing holdings exponentially higher.

@Hania16836 If you can afford a $600 meal, you can afford to tip. $9 is ridiculous and says everything about the type of person you are. The waiter didn’t make the rules and if you feel this is unfair, you should not contribute to a system that is built upon a 15-20% tip. Stay home!

@RichardCabezza Been stacking more after the big drop. In CA, you need to buy 2k or more at a time to avoid sales tax. So, I stack whenever I have 2k handy, lol. I’m in it for the long haul, I may sell some if it goes close to $200 or if the opportunity to buy a home in Maui gets cheap enough

@stelzner_n1150 I live is San Diego. There are issues with homelessness but that’s in many places. I haven’t found another city I would want to live in. People here are generally happy and smart. CA has issues but nothing like what the haters of CA complain about.

@baldguymoney It drives me crazy that we have to pay sales tax on buying real money. I’m from San Diego and unless I buy 2k worth of metals, I pay 8% sales tax. Over 2k, no tax. Not sure when or why this became the rule. Needless to say, I stack at 2k + when I buy.
