On this #WorldTheatreDay I’ve been thinking about the video I did a few weeks back & here’s a few things I’d love to see change… - Large venues branching out & supporting the local fringe/pub theatre venues & the artists who work there. The “big theatres” could do so much more to promote all those involved in smaller scale venues no matter their position & who knows, maybe those individuals will be walking through your stage doors someday… - Individuals/companies who started at fringe/pub theatre venues, forging the careers they have now to send the lift back down & support the places where they came from. The community is only as strong as the support network that sits under it. Respect who you are & where you came from, it would make such a large impact to see you understand this, trust me - Journalists/writers for large publications reviewing & showcasing fringe/pub theatre venues & the work happening at these spaces. We all love to rub shoulders in West End lobbies but the truly brave artists are dotted much further afield, so don’t ignore these vital hotbeds of creative expression & use your platforms to highlight the courage & bravery within them - Casting directors not being put off or afraid of invites to performances at fringe/pub theatre venues. You all claim to me & many other creatives that you want invites to our work & love fringe theatre yet I very rarely hear back or if so then it’s rejections. Respond in kind & stay true to your word #supportthearts #somethingsgottagive

Dear big brand companies. If you have the audacity to insist on 90-day payment terms PLEASE at least pay by the 90-day mark! Excuse my French but you really are taking the f**king p*ss when you say "It'll be with you by the end of the week!" That's not what was in the contract!
