@emilykmay FWIW, I find that my kids' expectations of other people are not nearly as exacting as they are of me.

My parents are keeping my kids next week, so I am including in their instructions the commentary that my 2yo will expect in his bedtime books. If you don’t say, “sharp teeth, ouch!” when you see the shark on the page, he will become enraged.

@emilykmay Rather than offer advice, I will just say YES this is very unreasonable!

It seems unreasonable that the time designated to prepare dinner (4-530 pm) is the time that my small children are at their most feral levels.
