It's clear that there are many socioeconomic factors at play here that affect COVID19 outcomes. We need to be aware of and find ways to address these structural inequities. #healthequity, #socialdeterminantsofhealth, #SDOH, #socialjustice, #healthdisparities @MClerkship

Some potential factors: differences in risk of community exposure due to job setting (per a 2015 report, most service workers in the New Orleans area were minorities), and differences in chronic medical conditions (per a 2018 report, more prevalent in black population vs white).
