To everyone that is slating foster parents, read this & then contact Tusla to offer your home & life to some of these very vulnerable young people. Desperately short of Foster Carers, do something that will actually help. @joeliveline #fostercarers4change

@Paschald @LeoVaradkar @tusla @Independent_ie @NewstalkFM @VirginMediaNews The GOVERNMENT knows Foster Children need extra supports BUT let’s just let them wait another 14 months for it!! #Budget24

Foster carers & those with an interest in helping remove the barriers to fostering- please share @m4cif statement on #Budget24

@IfcaInfo How can Ifca welcome this!? Ifca is so out of touch with Foster Carers and their families. So The Government know Foster Children need more supports but let’s just let them wait another 14 months for it. What an insult! @tusla @Paschald @LeoVaradkar

@SephineMorris @IfcaInfo Yes they are, they’ve Welcomed It!!!

@Paschald @LeoVaradkar @MichealMartinTD So you know you need to better support the most vulnerable children in society.. BUT not for another year! 😢

The average costs could be more or less..... Few things in this world are less. And still not 100% of what's needed to rebuild a home @DarraghOBrienTD
Smaller homes still cannot carry the load for demolition and engineering fees.

On #InternationalWomensDay2023 M4CIF are absolutely delighted to announce that FORSA union will now offer membership for foster carers. We view union membership as an optional support for foster carers in addition to @m4cif @ifca and @tusla More info @ facebook.com/groups/3994055…

Thank you @rteliveline for just highlighting that foster carers were once again forgotten about completely in the cost of living allowances announced by government today. @m4cif @Paschald @rodericogorman Irish Foster Care is in crisis and you are just not listening

Absolutely fuming @IfcaInfo I never felt so disrespected by an organisation in my life. As I pack to attend the National Conference I receive this in post. Timing? If received yesterday I could have cancelled my expensive weekend plans @ricpanza @m4cif @BernardGloster

Mahatma Gandhi said 'the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members'. When there is a greater budgetary allocation to Greyhounds than there is to the care of vulnerable children you know there is something wrong. @m4cif @joeliveline

One €6 raise (2009) in fostering allowance since the year 2000, thats 22 years. Absolute disgrace. How much has a TD's salary increased in 22 years. And still no pension for us @rodericogorman #fostercare #ourkidsmatter

@JulieTracey12 @Paschald @mmcgrathtd @MichealMartinTD @LeoVaradkar @RTE_PrimeTime @rtenews @NewstalkFM @tusla @rodericogorman as a “parent” to children in care it is the states obligation to also care for the foster carers. We have been let down once again.

This year is the 13th year that the foster care allowance hasn’t been increased. How are we going to recruit more foster carers when they are not being supported in any way? The state isn’t being a very good “parent” to any of us. We deserve better. @rodericogorman
English

@TodaywithClaire Can you please ask the 2 Ministers why have Foster Carers & their Foster Children been forgotten again? No increase in allowance since 2009, no back to school allowance & no pensions after years of service 😢
