This is a level of ineptitude from the Mets that is pretty wild It’s not just that they can’t get hits with runners in scoring position, it’s that they can’t even make productive outs

@michaelgbaron Dig further, and its worse. 2 of Robert's were jamshots on OD, one was 40mph. Soto's OD hit with RISP was a 14 hopper right to SS spot should've been a DP. Semien's is a pop up dropped by Cruz. Torrens/Vientos had well struck hits, but thats 7 real hits with RISP thru 5 games

Man, St. John's gave it a go. The on-ball, half-court D let them down in the second half (imo), a bunch of mental errors within the D structure (when they were leading). The first half was just Duke bullying them on D near the low block (Johnnies overcame it with the shooting).
