I'm personally sick to death of hearing mortgage rates up again, fuel & utilities up again. We should not be in a position where food banks are necessary in the UK.

Is this looking after the uk population though ? Increases in the Interest rates have caused a lot of people difficulties with mortgages Is increasing the interest rates to bring down inflation the best way to go ?? We know have higher bills at home that must be paid, this stops spending in retail which may bring inflation down is this the right way to go ?? Raising the maximum that gas and electricity suppliers can charge does this help the general public?? We now have less money to spend on retail goods the odd takeaway, a few beers out or luxury products yet inflation is pretty much the same The only winners are the big businesses, banks, lenders and utility companies, all recording record profits. Oh and the Government who are benefiting from tax payments. Is there a windfall tax on the utility companies ?? So Government get some money back in the till to pay for covid-19 through taxes, The governments mates. The big businesses, utility companies, banks etc make more profit !! Who's the share holders??? And the working man looses out again You couldn't write it eh 🙄🙄🤔🤔

The UK economy is resilient. The world is going through a rough patch, but the IMF say that we’ll grow faster than France, Germany and Italy in the coming years. We’re laying the foundations for a strong economy, and once we get inflation down, we’ll see the fruits of that.
