I absolutely support the rights of trans people to achieve the bodies that make them feel right. But this article is tone-deaf to the many women like me who’ve had ‘top surgery’ for very different reasons. Am I now more masculine? We bear deep scars. theguardian.com/wellness/2024/…

This will KILL research & development in England - (we already have a problem due to bloody BREXIT) what are we doing @wesstreeting ??? Do we want investment into cancer drugs in this country ??? Gob smacking - this is not pharmas fault - they spend YEARS developing drugs ploughing money into research - enhertu is approved in around 17 countries - not even in those of the G7… poor country’s that see the benefit for patients - yet those patients get access… WERE DYING #enhertuemergency I will remind everyone 31 WOMEN DIE every day… @METUPUKorg @AndyBurnhamGM @Debbie_abrahams @NICEComms @NHSEngland @AstraZeneca @sophieRblake

Only 10 minutes into this select committee video & it’s clear there’s a problem as only 2/39 drugs have been approved under the new @NICEComms #severitymodifier in 2 years & they have stated that the system is “not fit for purpose”@wesstreeting this is the problem. Please address this urgently. WOMEN are dying & will continue to die unless there is change. 31 WOMEN are dying every day from #metaststicbreastcancer #secondarybreastcancer We deserve better. We deserve HOPE & drugs that work to be APPROVED. This is the first time I’ve heard of this #severitymodifier How can secondary breast cancer be classed as medium severe rather than severe?It’s the breast cancer that kills people.Seems severe to me.Explains why NICE doesn’t have to approve #Enhertu & why we have to keep shouting
