Netanyahu’s quote from Will Durant — “Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan” — is being taken completely out of context. He was NOT making a theological claim that Jesus, the Son of God, has no power over evil. That’s a total misreading. As Durant wrote: the universe has “no prejudice in favor of Christ as against Genghis Khan.” Netanyahu’s point (with “unfortunately and unhappily”) is purely historical and realist: from a secular viewpoint, righteousness without sufficient strength often loses to ruthless evil and aggression. It’s a call for moral nations to also be strong — realpolitik, not blasphemy. Context matters, folks. Stop the knee-jerk outrage and read the full speech. Jesus Christ is Lord.
