We are all glad Madonna is #1 but don’t forget to fucking stream the album! I don’t see anyone talking about STREAMING the album. open.spotify.com/album/1CWY6mfn…
Madonna has made history as the first female artist to secure a number one album in five different decades. Her latest release, Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, topped the charts in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. buff.ly/gtkApOe
@DrownedMadonna Is this a single? Will it be released to radio? Promoted? Added to playlists? All the payola money can buy? I certainly hope so or I'll want to speak to the manager on duty at Warner.
🚫| @Madonna’s “Danceteria” debuts at #13 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100.
Unfortunately, The Rosetta Stone of Pop has ZERO songs charting inside Billboard Hot 100 during the debut week of her comeback album "Confessions II".
@PopMatters@PopSarah@KarenZarker I would like to humbly request that you revisit the review and the score given by your contributor, Jeffrey Davies, for Madonna's album Confessions 2.
A quick search makes it abundantly clear that he is a blatant Madonna hater and a die-hard Gaga fan. The album has been very well-received globally, which has led Gaga's fanbase to organize a review-bombing campaign to lower its Metacritic score. It is completely unacceptable for a publication, which should remain impartial in its reviews, to validate this kind of bias.
As women, you must understand the social significance of seeing Madonna, at nearly 70 years old, receiving worldwide acclaim for her album, and how this directly impacts future generations of female artists.
Please do not allow a hater to evaluate an album in such a completely biased manner and just to be clear, he wasn't even following Madonna. He only started following her to try and cover his tracks after fans exposed him as nothing but a hater.
Thank you.
@PopHubUSA@PopMatters .@PopSarah how can you allow someone who has been insulting Madonna for years to write the review for one of the most acclaimed albums of the year on your website? The review is clearly biased and written with the purpose of lowering the album's overall rating. Please review it.
So it ends up that Jeffry Davies, the critic at @popmatters who purposely gave Confessions 2 a low score to offset it's great Metacritic Score, is a HUGE Lady Gaga stan that has--for years--posted insults abt Madonna on Gaga Daily and other sites. Please email editor@popmatters.com & editorial@metacritic.com to show your disgust with this obvious hatchet job.
Madonna said she was 'grateful and surprised' after her hotly anticipated 'Confessions II' debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200
