@JumpyFeller

I don't want any followers. May not look it, but I adore Japanese arcade action games, chiefly the STG.

@HiddenPowerPod “Lack of old Pokemon” I can’t even begin to explain how angry I am that people had an issue with that.

@HiddenPowerPod "Level curve" is made up nonsense by a down syndrome nuzlocker that people who never played the game like to repeat ad nauseum. "WAHH I HAVE TO GRIND IN THE JAPANESE RPG THIS ISNT FAIR"

@STGshmups I did not even know this was a thing. I prefer 3 because it just has the most stages and I like running S ranks in it the most. But all of them are good games.

@JumpyFeller @Plasma_Legion It's similar to people who like MMZ3 and dislike MMZ1-2 because they don't get free cyberelves and upgrades now that I think about it.

Every game after X4 is utter dogshit. X is the worst Mega Man series overall, and it is not close whatsoever

@besteropinions Yeah 3 was weird. I like a lot of its ideas but they were obtuse. Most things you got either made the game free (as usual) or were useless beyond being additional requirements for something else. Weird bugs for bosses too.

@JumpyFeller It was hard to build on X1 in ways that weren't too insignificant or too extreme. X2 mostly dialed it in well enough, but X3 just tried adding/expanding too much. X4 fleshed out Zero (offset by reigning in everything else), then they went full fucking clownshoes with X5 and X6.

X is the weakest 2D MM series and I only see people hype it up for Zero's (spinoff) appearances and "lore". Peaked at its second entry. Classic and Zero/ZX >>> (Please just make X 9 anyway...)

@Ultima_Undead Good but, grossly overrated. Classic series only got better and kept out doing itself. 5 clears and people will SWEAR to you it's awful because "power stone bad" like Crash Bomb doesn't exist.

@AdriWindGB If they didn't pick this, I feel like we'd see so many people upset no matter the quality of what we got. X 1 and MM2 are the only games that exist to most Mega Man fans. Lose-lose for them. 😂

@SquireGrooktook Being able to wall jump, dash, and get excessively broken upgrades on top of the incredibly powerful special weapons just takes all of X's teeth out. It's why I prefer Zero because it figured out a better means to balance that assuming you go for S ranks.

@SquireGrooktook I find X games significantly easier by a dramatic margin. Classic difficulty is overrated but what's there isn't as easily subverted save for specific, later entries where the introduction of the goofy shops start to get over the top.

Hey elitists, reality check! Normal people do not have $20 to buy a used Wii or 5 minutes in 2026. Are we clear? With that out of the way, I'm going back to watching part 3 of this Super Mario Galaxy lore series. They're explaining Luigi's gloves today

@itsashotgunbaby E-Tanks were good in the older games because you had to find them in hard to reach, dangerous spots and were SUPER limited. Now they're basically infinite.

@itsashotgunbaby Tangential, but the classic series got hit with "X-isms" to the point Mega Man 11 has to be played with insane self imposed restrictions to get any kind of challenge out of it.

@Plasma_Legion @STGshmups I know someone that says the classic games are all objectively bad because you can't wall jump or unlock upgrades. I've seen this sentiment a lot.

@Spiders_STG 1 or 2. 2 is the fastest of the SNES trilogy and slightly harder (still Mega Man so it's not *that* hard) so it's my favorite. But it doesn't hurt to start with 1 of course.

Pretty sure this is just a "me" thing, but I think I prefer the original Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing over Transformed Transformed has great tracks but it always felt a lot stiffer control-wise than OG all stars and crossworlds, and it cut back on a lot of the charm from the OG

@XxM4XL3KUPP13xX @MahiruPlankton Hundreds of thousands will agree their interest in Japanese media was positively heightened because Toonami made it a focal point. That's literally not an opinion. It's verifiable.

Seeing people stream the Mega Man X games really opened my eyes to how differently other people partake in them and it's probably souring my opinion on the X series further. I don't like the collectibles in the X games much and don't think they enhance the experience much at all.
