I’m told that of the 80 students who graduated at Exeter university in computer science just two have found jobs as Labour tax policies and AI have killed the market. Feel desperate for the grads who have given 3 years of their life and £60K to discover they’re unwanted.

Extraordinary fact: £1 in every £2 paid in income tax in Britain goes directly to the retired. Our current pensions set-up and Triple Lock is not only unsustainable, but crippling the economy for those building it.

I'm due my State Pension in 2058. At this rate, I've got no doubt the pension age will be 70–72 by the time I get there. What kind of retirement is that? People my age should be making a lot more noise about this. If we stay silent now, we'll be the ones paying the price later.

Britain just paid a record £11.7 billion in debt interest in May alone. Hard-working Brits funded every penny of it. You paid for it through your taxes. You paid for it through the slow destruction of your savings and wages. While you were doing that, they still found money for foreign aid and the unproductive. And the whole time they were silently robbing you. They print more pounds out of thin air every year. They weaken the money you actually earned. This is not one theft. This is two. They take your money openly through tax. Then they take what’s left quietly by debasing the pound. This is how they grind down the people who still work and produce. You can still opt out if you know how...

So apparently Andy Burnham is likely to scrap the Triple Lock for pensioners because it’s becoming unaffordable but this Government can find plenty of money for illegal migrants who rock up on our shores who have paid NOTHING into our economy. This government puts foreigners before their own people. How this is even legal beggars belief. If they can find the money to house illegals then they can find the money to pay pensioners the paltry amount they receive.

I am married with a young daughter, both myself and my husband work. -We are not entitled to housing benefit, or any other benefit for that matter. -We do not get free eye tests, free dental care or free prescriptions. -Our daughter is not entitled to free school meals, or free breakfast clubs, or free wrap around care, no help with her uniform. -We don’t get council tax discount, or any other discount. -We don’t get help with our energy bills, or low cost broadband. -We don’t get help with the cost of going to the cinema, or days out at theme parks. -My daughter is unable to play outside unsupervised, because you have failed to secure our borders and the streets aren’t safe. -If I work more hours, I fall into the higher tax band. @Jeremy_Hunt @thetimes Everyone knows that the triple lock can’t be afforded but won’t admit it. Even Farage! Many pensioners are struggling. Many more are rolling in money from private pensions. Keep the lock for those with less than £20 income. Inflation only for the rest.

A couple earn £50k each, and their combined take-home pay is £6,320 per month. They have 2 kids and receive full child benefit of £2,211.60 per year. Their neighbours also have a £100,000 household income, but all of it comes from a single salary. Since more of this income is taxed at a higher rate, their take-home pay is over £800 less per month (£5,513). Even though they too have 2 kids, they receive £0 child benefit because their single salary exceeds the £80k threshold THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN 🇬🇧
