@RiseFromTheAshZ Neither. Dobes flopped so it would have been 4-on-4 if they called it. Refs chose to let them play. Ref blew whistle when he lost sight of the puck. Happens all the time. Fans just look for excuses. Good series. Congrats Habs. See you next season.

Which was worse?! The non-interference call on Jason Zucker which instead of a PP in the Sabres zone, led to a faceoff in the Habs zone leading to the tying goal. Or This early whistle on a play which is debatable if Dobeš had the puck (look closely) #GoHabsGo #LetsGoBuffalo

I really don't think the Malenstyn quick whistle matters to the end result. If he doesn't blow the whistle, how isn't this getting overturned on goalie interference? The puck is covered.

@Cns920 They didn’t want to go after him too hard to draw a pp for the Sabres. If the ref called the shot on the goalie (like he should’ve), this would’ve been a different story

@SneakyJoeSports Maybe it is, but that angle doesn’t show it at all let alone it being covered. There has to be a front view which should show it.

@TGM_1989 @DuaneS39 OK I'll make it simple : Skate at an angle and moving (NOT TOWARDS THE NET, JUST IN GENERAL). Puck hits the skate, being redirected towards the goal. Impact makes the skate jiggle (YOU KNOW, SHOT-PASS PUCK MOMENTUM ON A FUCKING SKATE). Puck ends up in goal. My pleasure !

@JunkBlueJaY @DuaneS39 Imagine having such a weak thigh and such incredible fortune that a puck can hit your skate while you’re generating forward movement… and it not only perfectly turns the skate toward the net but then the momentum carries the foot in the direction of the net.

So Toronto will review that accidental high stick but not a DISTINCT kicking motion that lead to a goal Sick league

His foot moves forward. How they don’t see that’s a distinct kicking motion is beyond me. Holy shit, these refs need to be investigated.

@BenAllenSEO @BoltsBreakdown I agree. They make that call on Thompson but realise they messed up so they let 3-4 clear high sticks go uncalled. Krabby patties for brains 100%

@JunkBlueJaY @BoltsBreakdown Most based Habs fan. The high stick calls should practically always be called, but that penalty on Thompson was comical. That wouldn't be called even in the regular season, let alone playoffs

@BoltsBreakdown It was different vs Tampa for sure, it was just clear cheap shots on both side and blind refs. This time (tonight), it was more soft calls and catch-up reffing later on. Definitely not a fan, either way it goes.

@bigbird3420 @BoltsBreakdown I get it but thompson’s 2 on Ghule and his interference call were a bit soft. It’s make-up reffing and that is the worst, no matter who it benefits. I would’ve understood the no-goal on the glove tip, but not on the call they made. Then, 3-4 high sticks not called. Despicable.

@WGR550_Patron They gave a 4 on Bolduc being literally punched and shoved on the goalie and what could have been a 4 on Dobes, the same as a high stick. Turn your tv on next time, it helps

Unbelievable. MTL didn’t deserve absolute shit tonight and the hockey gods gave them not one but two absolutely insane bounces. Other than the obvious, goals, don’t really know what more you could have asked for from TBs performance tonight. Sometimes, you just get hockey’d.
