@keowing @PumpkinHeadIvy Yes lol it's turn based But each enemy has several different attacks so it's not just memorizing the one. And you have multiple different defensive options and you have to use the right one. The enemies also actively try and fake you out so you can't just mash parry

@keowing @PumpkinHeadIvy Nooooo, the parry system is just similar to a traditional one. You watch the enemy attack patterns and you time a button press when they swing on you. It takes actual skill and timing to do lol it's not a quick time event

@keowing @PumpkinHeadIvy I love RTS games, I get the want to be constantly moving your hands and playing, I get in that mood. I find RPGs are really fun for me to sit back and think and can be relaxing. Fire Emblem games feel like big puzzles to solve and that's part of the appeal

@keowing @PumpkinHeadIvy Also fair, I think you should maybe try an RPG because they're more fun than they look. Clair Obscur also has real time elements in battles where you time your attacks and you parry enemy attacks tbf

@keowing @PumpkinHeadIvy Also real talk, I'd legit give it a try. It's an outstanding game and the engine doesn't take away from how well the story is told and how well done the gameplay is And I also think Silk Song is a GOTY winner in basically any normal gaming year (along with Hades 2)
