Wrote on Substack for the first time yesterday. I explore why white art is treated as universal while Black art is often framed as niche and what that says about power, taste, and whose stories get to represent the human default. You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything anymore. Everything is a subscription. Adobe, Notion, Spotify. You don't just buy things once, you keep paying every month. You literally have to pay for everything forever. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?

I miss when masculinity wasn't so rigid and a prison for men. Look at the fashion, their hair & even how he's able to move his body around his brothers without violence and ostracism. Misogyny ruins men's lives too.

The moment Michael Jackson knew it was time to go ‘solo’ because the way the spirit of funkiness possessed his brother Marlon Jackson during Victory Tour. The moment makes no sense to him and the fact that MJ and his other brothers didn’t even try to hide their confusion💀🤦‍♂️

This is Mazwi Mpumelelo Khubheka, he is missing. He was allegedly kidnapped after Refusing to sell his spaza shop to Pakistani Spaza shops owners. Nearly a month has passed since the alleged kidnapping of Mazwi, with his family still seeking answers. They believe he was targeted after opening a spaza shop and say investigators have not provided updates. According to the family, an unknown man had pressured Mazwi to sell his shop to Pakistani nationals, which he refused. They also allege that a security company is protecting foreign shop owners while forcing locals to close. The family is urging authorities to act urgently and provide clarity, saying the case requires serious attention as concerns grow over what may have happened to him.

Rihanna isn’t seen as a threat to them the way Beyoncé is. Beyoncé challenges spaces they think belong to them, breaks barriers, and still leads in talent, impact, and success. That’s why they constantly downplay her. A Black woman like Beyoncé dominating makes them uncomfortable
LYCANTHROPY 💎🐺@dozenicysummers

@TsitsiNotha It does concern her. Why is it that nobody “downplays” Rihanna’s achievements? Selective racism?

This account @Sunflowerreal has been posting about the people who have been murdered throughout this corruption spree that has plagued South Africa. Chilling. Behind these stories of people looting and buying mansions & flashy cars, there are bodies. 😭💔 Behind the Baddies Benefits gravy train, is the blood of slain citizens who tried to do the right thing.

When we say corruption is not a victimless crime this is what we mean, if they had electricity in their neighbourhood this child could’ve been safe at home probably.
