@puppetsparacosm People are mad I brought it up but why was any of this okay to say? 😭 This is why getting trans VAs for trans characters is important because we inherently wouldn't view ourselves - like an outsider would and that does bleed into your work. It's not rocket science.

@TDFan2077 @RoTheeQueen But to go on and perpetuate that it just DOESNT MATTER. That's entirely bogus to me. To essentially say "anyone who fits the role can have it - it's up to the director" is extremely tone deaf as an actor when you know - trans people are not desired for ANY media rn.

My experience with Brandon was him making a joke that playing Aiden counted "as playing both a girl and a guy" - then go into my dms and apologize to JUST me - the only trans person there. You say "If you can accurately portray a character, you deserve to go for a character."

@Brandon_Belc I'm telling you this as a trans person - you havent had to deal with any transphobia. You never had to have the convos with the crew on accurate portrayals. You don't have to deal with the impact on your day to day. You don't HAVE to care. And that DOES affect your portrayal.
