Have you had the chance to try it?

@CorinCole Haha well most meds can be abused I guess. I mean even thyroid meds are being abused or diabetic meds. And they are literally life support for people with appropriate conditions. I forgot my thyroid pills once during travel and had a hard time getting some for a few days.
English

@JustKengen (If I remember correctly, one of the main selling points is that pregabalin has less potential for abuse - gabapentin is quite a popular recreational drug especially in prisons, albeit not a very exciting recreational drug... not sure if much of a difference for clinical use)
English

@CorinCole Ah...guess the summary for the second one was short and only mentioned epilepsy. Ive an appointment next month and will bring it up.
English

@JustKengen They're very similar to each other, Pregabalin is basically just next-generation gabapentin, both can be used for improving seizure threshold (eg for epilepsy) or for neuropathic pain - afraid I'm not up to date on current guidance for which one to try first for which conditions
English

@CorinCole The first sounds like something I could ask my doc about. Second sounds more targeted at epilepic issues. Thanks for the recommendation!
English

@JustKengen I'm not a doctor (nor, thankfully, someone who's had this problem myself) but have you tried gabapentin or pregabalin? If not, worth asking your doctor about them and seeing if they can help, they're great for treating some types of pain I'm just not sure if for your type or not

@farbenfuchs Thanks :o I used to smile at everyone freezing all the time and now I'm in the same situation. Hope it gets better the more my body gets used to it :/
English

@JustKengen Uhh this also sounds like an interesting explanation!
Well the only thing I can do right now is probably offering a „warm“ welcome to the cold side ☠️👍🏻
English

@farbenfuchs I thought it might have something to do with energy consumption. You need more energy to carry the weight. I've never, before loosing the weight, struggled with the cold as much as I do now.
English

@JustKengen Unfortunately the weight difference might cause this 🥺I‘ve talked to a lot of people about their perception of heat n cold; if there‘s more „buffer“ in any way it might protect from freezing to soon. (muscle mass as a buffer is a protective factor as well)
