I was sadly impacted by this! I loved every minute I got to be a part of such an amazing group of developers! I am so thankful for my time I am looking towards the future - if anyone has any leads of openings in QA please let me know. I have 4+ years experience!

@VortexLoreFN From what I’ve gathered, it’s Human Resources that does the layoffs and they don’t know what people really do or how crucial they are, they basically just layoff at random across the company

I just don't get how you can make Chapter Seven the big refocus of the Fortnite Storyline after 3 years and then fire the narrative director who's been working on Chapter Seven's story shortly after the second season launches… These layoffs make no sense.

Genuinely insane screenshot Steve Danuser was hired in Nov 2024, Directed the Simpsons season and the Chapter 7 storyline... and was laid off 2 seasons into Chapter 7. The guy who was hired to bring the story back to Fortnite, already gone after a year
