So the time has come to hang up the boots so to speak. Thank you to all who have supported @JustSportZA over the years. I have realized that the time has come to pass on the baton to someone else. A less busy mind (or minds) perhaps.

Ironic that Steve Waugh sits on his holy high horse judging others about cheating and upholding the spirit of cricket. He was instrumental in implementing this pathetic cricketing culture in the first place. Empty vessels make the loudest sound. #SandpaperGate

Expecting a massive backlash by Cricket Australia. Execs have long memories. Wasn’t so long ago that the very same players held the board ransom over pay disputes. They made many enemies in the boardroom and the suits will be wanting their pound of flesh now. #SAvAUS

In addition, two of the bears they decided to poke are the best Test bowler in the world and one of the most talented batsmen of all time. Stupidity on an unprecedented level. #SAvAUS

Australians have been taught a lesson. They asked for the stump mics to be turned off before the series, showing their hand. They expected to bully SA out of this series like they did England. If you poke a bear, expect to get bitten. #SAvAUS

That being said, let’s not let the antics of that lot distract from what has been a pretty vicious spell of bowling from the South African bowlers post tea. Blown this Australian batting order away with disdain. #SAvAUS

Here’s a question: Smith has admitted the entire leadership group agreed to take the decision to cheat. If Smith is forced to resign, so all the other members of the leadership group should be removed from positions of leadership too. Who then captains the side? #SAvAUS

Even if Lehmann wasn’t involved, how the hell has he fostered a team culture that has allowed a group of senior players to consciously make the decision to cheat and think that it’s ok? #SAvAUS
