@dantypo One of the best cars I owned as a kid was a $300 toyota. Saved my ass for at least a year. Never needed anything except a quart of oil from time to time. Got it from a guy off Craigslist. Better times 🤠

Am I the only one who sells my used cars for like $500 anymore? I swear, when I unloaded my kid’s starter cars, I’d just be like, “I don’t know, you got $500 cash?” I mean, I get that sometimes every dollar matters for some. But I’m always just thinking, “if it gets you to work for a few months or more, you can basically have it.” But I see the same kind of cars on lawns for like $1,500-$2,000. It’s nuts. Be generous. Help someone out who maybe REALLY needs it.

@elonmusk @PeterDiamandis How will this look though? What will the transition look like? Very few people are comfortable right now and it just looks like the future will be worse by the day. People need a pathway/compelling narrative for how it will work. Without the potential dystopian fears.

Years ago I took a job with a company in San Francisco. The agreement was that I’d commute for a couple months then relocate. (This was before remote work was a thing.) Ten months in, the CEO said, “You’re not moving here are you?” I replied, “Nope.” I hated everything about it — the never-truly-warm weather, the what-can-you-do-for-me culture, and the filthy city itself. It looks great in photos tho.
