Went to the procession/ceremony today for the fallen Firefighter from yesterday’s tragedy. 27yr old volunteer ff from Morrill ME. So very sad, but the County sure turned out for him.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

I hate when these idiots say “the chiefs traded 3 picks to move up from 9 to 6.” Yes they traded 3 picks for the 6, but they traded TWO picks to “move up” from 9 to 6!

@dannykanell @sagesteele Hey Danny, while you are right (about coaches /parents), isn’t there some significant part that falls on the pros who they are copying? When the parent says, “do what I say is right, not what the pro making $40M does”, you know which way most kids will lean!

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

This Michigan team is great. But how do you really even begin to compare to great “college teams” of past? 23+ year olds in college just seems wrong. Fab5 were all “real” freshman. Lost in the nil$ talk is that the eligibility has ruined it more than $.

Any other coach would praise em for great season and maybe say “didn’t bring out best.” Not him. Said they lost bc players played poorly. Some coaches accept responsibility! He always blames players. Then tonight whines again. terrible loser but few notice bc they rarely do!

If you WIN, everyone looks the other way. Coach Auriemma for UConn has always been an A hole whenever they lose. 1st noticed when they lost champ game yrs ago & only talked about how disappointed he was that his players played so poorly. Really? All about him! They let him down?
