An absolutely excellent piece on Neville, Goldbridge, and monetising United's misfortunes. A must read. creamofmanchester.substack.com/p/better-the-n…

@utdreport @samuelluckhurst Wow, signed him for 50m and we’re gonna sell for 20m. Recruitment team fails again.
English

Trabzonspor have expressed interest in signing André Onana permanently. #mufc require £18.9m to avoid making a loss on him [@samuelluckhurst]
English

@IqbalHo54074679 @Jayluxq @utdsefa @exfootballfan He selectively mentioned Chelsea’s best players, and then Man Utd’s worst players. That is cherry picking

Rosenior first 13 PL games: 17 points
Amorim first 13 PL games: 12 points
Only one of these guys got over 13 months at the biggest club in the world and still has supporters inside the fanbase.

🚨 BREAKING: Chelsea part company with head coach Liam Rosenior. #CFC wanted to give 41yo much longer but results dictated otherwise. FA Cup + CL push key factors. Calum McFarlane to take interim charge before permanent appointment in summer @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/72186…

@Dee1AnOnlyy @Hernandez80192 @exfootballfan Mourinho, Ole & even Ten Hag all finished top 4. What the hell are you talking about bro
English

@Hernandez80192 @exfootballfan After Sir Alex Ferguson, have we had any managers that finished high on the table?

It’s not about who is the alternative, they bottled sacking Ten Hag just to sack him months later when everyone knew what was going to happen.
They bottled sacking Amorim after Bilbao & Grimsby just to do it months later when everybody knew it wasn’t going to work.
They’ve never actually made a pro-active decision, and right now you’re being extremely naive not to have some concerns about performances, I’m not saying you have to be totally against Carrick getting the job, but there’s clearly SOME concerns with him getting the job.
They don’t want to hire someone at the World Cup, They don’t want to hire someone from Bournemouth, Fulham etc that level of club, so who were they hoping to get, other than Enrique?
What’s the point of making Carrick an interim in the first place if the only manager you can acknowledge as a better option is the guy who just won the Champions League who was never going to join us anyway.
Everything is the easy decision, for the last two years & that doesn’t bode well for the future to me.
Lammens & Sesko are the two decisions they made that I’m clinging onto that were somewhat against the grain because they weren’t who the manager wanted, but praising them for signing two U23 players instead of spending huge on two 30 years olds from Villa isn’t exactly cutting edge top level operating from Omar, Wilcox etc.

I can’t take any United fan hating on Carrick seriously I’m sorry.
We really went through hell with Amorim barely won any games whilst playing diabolical football
Now we’re actually winning football matches, the most inform team in the Premier League since Carrick’s arrival & you’re moaning?
Carrick is doing a magnificent job. I wont let any of you gaslight me into believing it’s luck.

What’s weird with Bruno is because he is notoriously so penetrative and aggressive with his final ball (less so now; he’s improved it), that his sheer football brain gets underrated
His IQ is ironically better than his execution (which is also better than all other 10s)
His appreciation for space. The passes he sees. The timing of the pass
People just see a cannon ball creator which is aesthetics getting in the way. Make no mistake, he’s one of the best 10s to ever do it in England
Wasted in a banter era
English
AJ retweetledi

It’s at the stage now you can’t really compare him with anyone currently playing
Can only compare him to 10s & creative hubs from different eras now
Most impactful creator itw. Lots of variety in his passes too
As Henry says, he doesn’t play football - he thinks football
Adroit Cadet@Adroit_Cadet
He’s gonna break Henry/KDB’s record you know
English

@FPLfrasier @commissionase So how is it the board’s fault? Everyone knows his quality and potential, and the transfer price reflected that
English

@commissionase It’s not on Yoro even. All I am saying is when you pay 55m you want performances straightaway. You aren’t spending that amount for the academy, you are spending on first team.
English

It’s already 2 seasons for Yoro and I don’t believe he has performed to a high level consistently. Questions need to be asked of the strategy to spend 55m on a young player who may not be ready.
It looks great on paper to sign young upcoming players. But the price has to be right. If you are spending big money the player needs to be ready. If a player isn’t ready why not wait a few years before they develop before you can sign them?

🚨 BREAKING: There are concerns that Leny Yoro could be out with injury for the REST of the season. #MUFC [@samuelluckhurst]
English

Why are players getting more injured compared to under Amorim who was more intense?
utdreport@utdreport
Breaking: Leny Yoro is believed to have suffered an injury and has not travelled with #mufc squad to London [@samuelluckhurst]
English

@Muppetiers This is such a silly take. De Ligt has been injured since Amorim. Dorgu is the ONLY other injury. The 2 red cards were dubious decisions that everyone has agreed were incorrect
