The 2023 season may be over, and our focus turning to 2024. However, I think it's important not to let the moment pass by without stopping to honor, one of the all-time greats to wear Garnet and Gold, Jordan Travis. Jordan was a cornerstone in helping bring Florida State back to prominence. He overcame adversity and stood firm when times were tough. His love for the game could often be seen with a smile on his face after a big play, but make no mistake, he was a fierce competitor. Jordan was the epitome of the word teammate and, without a doubt, a special player on the field. During his career at FSU, he etched his place in history alongside names that have been talked about for generations. Jordan finished his career as #1 in TD Responsibility (97) #1 in Total Offense (10,554) #1 in QB Rushing Yards (1,910) #1 in QB Rushing TDs (31) #2 in Passing TDs (65) Tied w/Jameis Winston #2 in Passing Yards (8,644) #2 in Wins (28) #3 in Completions (633) #3 in Completion Percentage (62.5%) #4 in Rushing Touchdowns (31) Jordan also became the 4th player in FSU history with at least 3,000 total yards and 30 total touchdowns in a season (2022), joining Heisman Trophy winners Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke and Jameis Winston. His accomplishments on the field are a testament to the caliber of player that he was. However, that's only part of the story. Jordan is also a great ambassador for the program off the field. He was a Seminole scholar and Jason Witten Man of the Year award semi-finalist for his work in the community. Most notably, he always handled things with a humble and gracious attitude. Jordan comes from an amazing family, and it's easy to see why he is beloved by his coaches, teammates, and the Seminole fan base. Although things came to an unfortunate end, his legacy at FSU will live on forever. The setback he suffered will only prove to make for a bigger comeback story. His time as a player in Garnet and Gold may have come to a close, but his journey is far from finished. We wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors and send a heartfelt thank you for your time in Garnet and Gold! Go Noles! #JT13
