Men say “I’m okay” when not, because what are you going to do? The answer, often at best, is -provide them pity-. But it’s hard to heavily pity someone while maintaining full respect. & without respect you dont feel like a man. & close ones worrying about you is an added problem.

Part of what hurts our community is that, often, when women feel like they don’t NEED a man, they feel like they don’t need a man.

Getting old doesn’t take you out of poverty. Your situations transform as a result of your actions; not by simply time. It just looks like age automatically comes with upgrades because many sacrifices pay off overtime.
