I get he hasn’t produced in the playoffs and he needs to. But far too many just have no idea how impactful/important Jalen is to the defense. Without flipping 80% of the roster this is just not going to be an elite offensive team, and that’s not happening. Defense needs to be the strength.

If you’re sitting Franz out of caution to not cause a bigger injury, it’s hard to tell when the Magic will get him back if at all this postseason. We don’t have much details, but the fact that he was questionable could mean it’s very mild. Let’s hope it’s a few days, not weeks.

@SixthManShow Schematically we aren’t even in the same league right now. Not sure it’s anything more than that to be honest. They know how to get the leverage against the defense and they just are in the right place where the lapse is. Game feels like it’s already out of reach

Really shouldn’t be surprised at this, but with the league clearly having a competition problem, adding 2 expansion teams does nothing to help that problem at all. It actually makes it worse. Silver doesn’t care about the product at all and is permanently damaging the league in his endless pursuit of profits.

@SixthManShow @ChrisJanssen We can’t complain about not making moves then say we have enough talent. The truth is our bench is awful the center position is a mess, and our coaching staff is inept. On paper they have very good talent at the top and the drop off after that is massive.

The idea behind not making a move at the deadline was get the team healthy, and hope they can play to the potential indicated by a small sample size early in the season. You get Franz back for two games, two separate times, and now you’ll most likely be without him for at least a month. This season is in dire straits.

@SixthManShow It’s the entire season. This team has had one decent stretch of time but for 90% of the season so far they have not been a good team. We can’t keep judging this team on expectations. We have to judge them based on the season and they are what they are so far. Still have time.
