@JustinRussell76 @DCsportsXP I mean obviously. Yes. Wizards fans are acting like we have to do it.
English

Jazz fans seem to not get it
The world knows your owner is obsessed with AJ.
Wizards are probably taking AJ. They don’t need to trade
If Jazz want AJ, the price will be pushed to overpay
Wiz hold the cards. They’re either getting their 1A or their 1B while gathering assets
Dunzo@Dunzod
Wizards fans believing they are getting multiple unprotected 1st round picks in a trade from 2nd to 1st is giving flashbacks to Knicks fans believing they would get Donovan Mitchell for some heavily protected 1sts and a couple end-of-bench players. Elite level delusion.
English

@beefalo123 @DCsportsXP And none of this takes in to account what other teams, maybe Memphis and Chicago for example, would be willing to offer. This is all hypothetical and no trades will likely happen, but it means Washington has all the power.
English

@beefalo123 @DCsportsXP The thing I'm saying is if they were to trade picks, Washington would hold all the leverage because it would mean that the Jazz value 1 guy over the other so they could set the price as high as they want, even if they are content with either player.
English

@beefalo123 @DCsportsXP You're right. My whole point is IF the Jazz want to move up, it would only happen if they meet Washington's price. Washington would have the right to set the price at anything they want. That's the leverage. A deal between them isn't going to happen, really no reason for it.
English

@JustinRussell76 @DCsportsXP My point is there is no need to move up if both suffice. No need to sell the farm. They’d have to feel very strongly the other one is much better.
So yes if they are set on one then sure they have leverage. But I don’t think they are that set on one or the other
English

@beefalo123 @DCsportsXP Yes there is. Washington has no reason to move down, even if the 2 guys are the same tier. If the Jazz want to move up to get the guy they want, they have to meet Washington's price. Washington holds all the cards in a trade between the 2. That's how leverage works.
English

@JustinRussell76 @DCsportsXP There is little leverage when both top 2 picks are on the same tier.
English

@DCsportsXP @beefalo123 As a Jazz fan you are 100% spot on. The Wizards absolutely hold all the leverage and the Jazz would have to overpay. I'm sure the teams will kick the tires on a trade, as they should, but it gaining any traction is minimal and both teams will happily stay where they are.
English

@beefalo123 They have leverage in the sense if Danny Ainge wants a player BAD, then the Wizards control any asking price.
No one knows who is who’s top player. But the Wizards do indeed control the asking price.
English

@TuskedUp There's a very simple answer to this. The times the 3rd pick was better, teams either over thougt it or drafted by need instead of BPA (Embiid injury is te exception). Don't overthink it and you get the better player
