Sunday Morning ‘follow up’ 💨⬅️ This East Wind is responsible for our cooler temps and even low level moisture. ☁️ Clouds are hanging around, breaking up farther north. 🌧️ Spotty Showers are in our forecast and I watched a few pop up this morning… Including this small isolated downpour in Northern Anne Arundel County. A brief taste of the Central US Heat Wave will reach us Wednesday… But a drop south NEXT WEEKEND appears to suggest a cooler and stormy pattern to follow. This may begin to track Pacific Storms (El Niño Infused) across the Southeast US. We shall see.

Good Morning It’s SATURDAY July 11 🚴‍♂️ 🚴‍♀️ I am at a bike event this morning, so this is s brief report just here. No full article 🧵 1 of 2 🌤️ We have a nice day ahead, for the most part. 🤔 ⛈️ There is a risk of storms that may produce local flooding. Like the last few days, this is spotty and almost like hitting the lottery. Not all of us will get in on it. 💻 ❓Computer Model Guidance has a WIDE SPREAD today. ‼️ LOW CONFIDENCE Simulations here. ⏰ Comparing the 5 PM plot we can see the range with the NAM 3 Km pulsing a cluster of storms over the Northern Chesapeake Bay, while the HRRR and WRF are more quite. Yes, there has been a deterioration of short range forecast plots in part to less balloon data across the nation. But also in summer the pop up storms are subjected to very subtle influences that the modeling does not always pick up on. 👀 Just keep an eye out for potential storms mid afternoon to evening. 📡 I will share anything I see on radar later. Double Rainbow 🌈 🌈 and one arch seemed to end at my weather station. 🤩 It was SOOO BRIGHT! Did you see one? 🤓 Weather Geek Note The primary arch will always have the ROY G BIV order of colors with red on the outside. A Double Rainbow…. the secondary arch is dimmer and has the colors in Reverse Order! This is due to a an extra reflection of light Inside The raindrop during the refraction process. #doublerainbow #weather #rainbow

There it is... 2 hours late... 📡 7:10 PM Doppler Radar looking a little more like what the HRRR Model showed us 5 PM should look like. Showers are losing some punch. 📍 Carroll County dropping the strongest downpour into Mount Airy and West Friendship over the next 15 to 30 minutes. The rest of this line is simply rain from York to Shrewsbury and slowly dropping into Baltimore and Harford County. Towson and Bel Air looking to get in on this by 8 PM. There was a history of flooding in PA near Harrisburg, but that does not look as strong now. #WeatherUpdate
