For my money, Justin Witmer has been the best hitter in the county through the first two weeks. Damascus has played Xposure 4A #6, 4A #10, 3A #1, 3A #10 and a talented Blair team. Against great opponent after great opponent he's slashing .500 AVG/1.66 OPS 3 2Bs, 2 HR, 9 RBI.

The Big 4 (R. Iorio, G. Iorio, Witmer, Luskey) at the top of the Damascus lineup is making a statement this preseason. Just raining XBH the past few days. Luskey with 2 2Bs and Raf with a grand slam today vs. QO

Was asked what position sticks out in the rising senior class. Easy answer: Catcher The 2026s contain a surplus of high quality backstops including the 1st & 2nd team C’s for MoCo’s two strongest divisions & another division POTY. Will be fun to follow their recruitment trail.

Congratulations to the players selected to the 2025 MSABC West Region Classic Roster I think everyone knows pretty much all the players on here. With the exception of a few outstanding players outside of MoCo like JP Shultz, this is basically a MoCo super team.

Talk about a scorching start to the spring, Will Heyse has been that guy for Damascus. Following a CGSO today vs. Poolesville, the Stevenson commit's stat line to start the 2025 season: 14 IP 1 ER 3 H allowed 20 Ks Pretty good pitcher.
