2/2 I take longer to articulate my thinking. I am often cut off mid sentence at meetings. Because of my slight accent, my credibility may be questioned. What can we do better to extend our learning on #RacialLiteracy to include linguistic racism? Hands up if you experience this.

Our students’ eyes lit up today as I showed them how to make lanterns and shared stories of my childhood and how I celebrate #LunarNewYear and #MidAutumnFestival So grateful I can make this personal connection with our students through similar lived experiences

Our Kindergarteners learned to make firecrackers for the #LunarNewYear to ward off “Nian”, the legendary monster that comes to destroy fields, crops, animals and terrorize people. The word 福 displayed upside down signifies luck is coming. @yrdsbinclusion @YRDSBArts @yrdsb
