The Elite League would like to place on record our dismay and disappointment at the portrayal of our female fanbase in the recent Financial Times article. We’re very proud to have an incredibly diverse fanbase watching our great sport and they play a vibrant part in our incredible hockey community. Attendances across the Elite League continue to rise year on year and we are incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic and dedicated support our fans give every week across all four nations.

@jiggidyjohnston @SteelerJb I sort of get what you mean he was ‘flashier’ last season but I think we do still see that from him sometimes and at the end of the day if he’s getting the numbers I don’t really mind

P2 6-2. Great game from Whistle and Tremblay this. Getting this extra mileage from these guys is absolutely what we need to make a run at the playoffs. Tremblay especially. Can't even sign him next year and he turns up like this every game. All he knows is hustle

Be interesting to see what Diffley returning does to the lineup. Vainio, for me, is playing easily well enough to warrant staying where he is. Guess Tansey back to Forward is the most likely outcome, but then where does he fit? Too good a player to sit on the 4th line

Truly feel like it’s going to go down to the final day/weekend. Belfast are not the powerhouse they were two seasons ago. Can see a bit of a choke happening. Maybe speaking a little out of pure hope, but I can see it being a nail biting finish.

Stinks of profiteering by the league this. Big game, midweek, difficult for working fans to get to at short notice - let’s charge extra for the webcast. 👎
