‘I secretly used my roommate’s scholarship money to pay rent.
Now she might get expelled because of me’
Two years ago, my best friend and I moved to the city together for university.
We were both struggling financially.
But unlike me, she was brilliant academically.
She earned a full scholarship that covered tuition plus monthly living support.
Meanwhile I worked night shifts at a supermarket just to survive.
At first, everything was manageable.
Then my mother got sick back home.
Really sick.
Hospital bills started piling up fast, and because I’m the oldest child, everyone immediately looked at me for help.
I started sending almost every paycheck home.
Eventually I fell behind on rent badly.

‘I reported my coworker for faking his disability.
Now his entire life is falling apart and I don’t know if I went too far’
I work in a company where promotions are extremely competitive.
Long hours. Constant pressure. Everybody quietly fighting for the same opportunities.
About a year ago, a new guy joined our department named Chris.
At first, everyone respected him immediately because he openly spoke about having a serious back condition from an old accident.
Because of that, management gave him certain accommodations.
Flexible hours.
Remote work privileges.
Reduced physical responsibilities.
And honestly, nobody had an issue with it.
Until people started noticing strange things.
At work, Chris constantly moved slowly, complained about pain, and sometimes even used a cane.
But outside work?
Completely different person.
A few coworkers started whispering after seeing his social media stories.
Hiking trips.
Basketball games.
Gym videos.
One clip even showed him deadlifting weights heavier than most healthy people could lift.
At first, I defended him.
I figured maybe chronic conditions fluctuate.
But then something happened that changed my perspective completely.
Our company announced there would only be ONE promotion available for our department.
Me and Chris were the final candidates.
I had better performance numbers, longer experience, and stronger client reviews.
But management kept praising Chris for “overcoming adversity.”
Then one day, during lunch, I accidentally overheard him joking with another coworker saying:
“You’d be surprised how far people lower expectations once they think you’re injured.”
That sentence stuck in my head badly.
A few days later, I made a decision I’m now questioning.
I anonymously sent HR screenshots and videos from his social media showing him doing physically intense activities while claiming workplace limitations.
The investigation started immediately.
