1) the Falklands were originally illegally seized from Argentina in 1833. BUT they have been British ever since. 2) throughout the 1960s and 70s, Argentina negotiated in good faith to trade ownership. They offered concessions, such as “Falklanders won’t have to serve in rhe army.” The British teams all recommended the transfer. Each UK government punted it to the next. Was Argentina right to invade? Of course not. The Falklanders’ opinion should be taken into account! Plus the major reason for the attack was because the junta was looking for distractions. But I can’t help but think that it would be cheapest for Argentina to pay each Falklander a million dollars (costing about 3.5 billion) to move away.

🚨 CHILE SIDES WITH ARGENTINA ON THE FALKLANDS Chile has officially declared its support for Argentina’s claim over the Falkland Islands. This came in a joint statement after a meeting between the two countries’ leaders. The Falklands are British territory - defended with British blood in 1982. Now more countries are openly testing us because they sense weakness in London. Britain must make it crystal clear: The Falklands are ours and will remain ours forever.

@gascognex @SandyofCthulhu "the junta was looking for distractions." Which in a few situations appeared to be the problem. They LIKED having it as a wedge issue, when it actually came to taking control, they backed off. They could have had it if they really wanted to, Thatcher wanted rid.

@SandyofCthulhu Even if Argentina pays all the islanders a nice exit, the Brits wouldn't turn them over

@SandyofCthulhu 'illegal'? Discovered by an Englishman 1690, French settlement in 1764 on one island, 1765 on other by Brit, 1820 American fishermen, 1823 German cattleman, 1831 Americans again, Spain 1832, 1833 Back to the Brits. Argentina founded in 1832. They were a bit late to the claims

Wow these pesky Brits sure are getting annoyed when we've spent the last three days calling them cowards and cucks. Super weird what the heck.

First version of underground "biomes". They're currently defined by distance to the terrain surface. The idea is that different biomes have different resources, obstacles, caves, etc. The bottom one is very dark🤠 [cont]

Greenland should take the money, 100k each, then with them adding another 2 seats in the senate, impeach Trump and vote to succeed from the union. Speed run in/out.

@Jyve @AnnJohn30914404 Well except he can't -- all that then happens is the BBC reports start showing up on YouTube much more than now - the same way we Brits get to see FoxNews/NewsNation etc etc. And remember - the largest national newspapers in the US now - aside of NYT/LAT/WAPO - they're BRITISH.

Trump's filed a multi-Bn$ lawsuit against the BBC despite its apology for Panorama edited speech but rejected his demand for compensation. Legal experts believe Trump faces an uphill battle to make the defamation case stick, & he'd prefer to settle out of court, greedy old man.

@Jyve @AnnJohn30914404 He may, but the BBC is going to enjoy deposing the fat scumbag under oath to explain to a judge how exactly how he was defamed and if he can be defamed. He was indicted for inciting the crowd to storm the Capitol. For $10 bn discovery is going to be brutal.

A quick question: How can Donald Trump claim that the BBC Panorama documentary "violated Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act", when it was not broadcast in the US, let alone Florida? Surely this is political theatre, meant to distract from the Epstein files, as this case is clearly outside jurisdiction and is a spurious case. theguardian.com/media/2025/dec…

Can't believe this war-mongering stuff coming out of Nato which bears little resemblance to the situation on the ground and doesn't take account of historical, disastrous attacks on Russia or public attitudes. I assume it's for the benefit of arms manufacturers. Shameful.

Someone just sent me a character from my assets which they 'improved' using generative AI giving a detailed description on how my original character was lackluster. :)
