We have a pretty good local & regional contingent of @BSradioclub folks around here; and it was really nice to see us all come together to help @VA7USD chase his RAC Portable Award these past few days. Getting a shitty #POTA 1/2 done @ midnight on VHF is a great asset. #hamradio

A chilly and foggy activation at Brannan Island (US-6446) this afternoon. I’m around 50 QSOs away from a Kilo at this park. Even got @hamradio2dot0 in the log for a park to park. @VA7FC was in there for a DX p2p as well.

Didn’t realize it was a contest weekend. 12 contacts from Angel Island (US-1123) mixed between 15M and 20M.

Heading to Angel Island (US-1123) for some POTA. I have to change ferries in SF and then walk two miles, so it will be a couple of hours before I’m up on 20M SSB.

POTA by public transit using SF Bay Ferry and Muni Metro. Heading to Ocean Beach to activate Golden Gate National Recreation Area (US-0647). I’ll be on 20m once I get across the city.

Enjoying 3D printing. The bottom ring on my SOTABeams Tactical Mini has been broken for a while. Fortunately, someone had an .STL of one on Pritables. Decided the replacement needed to be in color. 😁

Out with the red aftermarket and in with a new stock metal one.

This one has some miles. Had to replace the gear in the extruder.

I guess 3d printing is like ham radio, things multiply. Another Facebook Marketplace Ender 3 added to the fleet.
