@shouq_al90149 Yes my Grandad Albert was born in 1895, and my Grandmother Winifred was born in 1897. Albert lived till 95 and Winifred till 97. Albert went to sea as a cabin boy aged 12 on a fishing trawler. I was born in 1957.

@DrHelenFry My late father in law Gerald Watson served in the Royal Navy as a Pom -Pom gunner, did the Atlantic and Artic Convoys, Torch landings in North Africa. My late mother in law Audrey Watson joined the WRAC’s at age 16 and served on anti aircraft gun sites.
