Congratulations to Bassel Youness on winning second place for his Integrative Learning Experience titled “Pathway to Improve Voluntary Non-Remunerated Blood Donation (VNRBD) in Lebanon” under the supervision of Ms. Lama Abou Karroum, K2P Research Manager. A well-deserved recognition for an important contribution toward strengthening voluntary blood donation systems in Lebanon.

Clara Abou Samra, K2P Program Manager, opened the scientific day at #DiabetesMorocco2026 with a clear message: eliminating industrial trans fats is one of the most impactful and achievable public health actions to prevent diseases. With the right policies and partnerships, prevention can become reality.

Today, K2P is co-hosting the scientific day on the elimination of trans fatty acids (TFA) in Morocco as part of the 15th International Conference on Diabetes and Nutrition – Diabetes Morocco 2026.  Clara Abou Samra (@klara_as), K2P Program Manager, will highlight international experiences that successfully eliminated trans fats, the policy and regulatory mechanisms that drove change, and the critical role of communication and public engagement in improving dietary behaviors.  K2P joins regional and international experts to advance evidence-informed policies that support healthier food systems and improve public health outcomes.

Addressing a critical gap in post-discharge care, CareChain supports patients who leave the hospital with complex instructions and high-risk medications. The platform extracts and translates medical instructions into clear, structured task lists, supported by a multilingual AI assistant available 24/7. By creating a closed-loop follow-up system and enabling escalation for missed critical tasks, CareChain transforms recovery from uncertainty into coordinated, safer care.

First Place at the HSIL Hackathon, hosted by the K2P Center at AUB 🏆 Meet MOMentum, a team rethinking how care is delivered beyond the clinic. Through wearables, a patient app, physician input, and an AI predictive engine, they turn everyday health data into risk alerts, early intervention, and personalized care. A closer look at the people and the idea shaping more proactive healthcare.

From AUB to Harvard’s Venture Building Program, MOMentum continues to scale globally. After winning Bootcamp 1 and ranking among the top 50 teams worldwide, the team advances to Bootcamp 2 to further develop their venture on an international stage. K2P celebrates this achievement by Youssef Abou Dib, Marianne Al Haber, Mona Dandashli, and Haya Ramadan.
