Since I live in the Middle East, specifically in Saudi Arabia, I'll tell you why: obtaining citizenship is extremely difficult (almost impossible). Furthermore, Europe and Japan have a need for labor, and some countries offer refugees incentives and benefits to settle and work, while in the Middle East, unemployment is high and there aren't many jobs available.
By the way, you won't find any Saudi Arabian immigrants in your country or any other country. 🤗
Why don’t Muslim countries accept more Muslim refugees?
Same religion, right?
Same culture, right?
Shouldn’t they be welcomed there first?
So why are countries like the UAE so strict about immigration?

🇯🇵🇺🇸 Japan & the US: How the "Atomic Enemy" Became the "Ultimate Ally"
History holds a strange paradox: Japan, the only nation to suffer a nuclear attack at the hands of the US, is now Washington’s closest ally in Asia. Meanwhile, its relationship with China remains frozen in hostility.
How did Japan forgive its bomber while clashing with its neighbor? 🤔
1️⃣ Pragmatism Over Pain 🧠
After 1945, Japan made a strategic choice: Evolution over Revenge. Through the US-led reconstruction, Japan transformed from a ruined empire into a global economic titan. The US provided the "Security Umbrella," allowing Japan to focus entirely on its "Economic Miracle" instead of military spending.
2️⃣ The China Deadlock: Unhealed Wounds 🇨🇳
Despite Japan being the aggressor in China during WWII (e.g., the Nanking Massacre), the scars never faded:
• China feels Japan hasn't offered a "sincere" apology and uses historical grievances to fuel modern nationalism.
• Japan views a rising China as an existential threat to the regional balance of power, pushing them even closer to Washington for protection.
3️⃣ Shared Values vs. Geopolitics 🤝
Today, Japan is a liberal democracy. This aligns it culturally and politically with the West. In the eyes of Tokyo, a democratic "Old Enemy" is a safer bet than an autocratic "Rising Neighbor."
The Bottom Line:
In geopolitics, interests don't have memories—they have goals. Japan chose the partner that guarantees its future, even if that partner was the one that shattered its past.
What do you think? 🤷🏻
