First teaser for a 2-part animated LEGO ONE PIECE special. The special will retell the events of the live-action ‘One Piece’ series in a familiar comedic LEGO way. Releasing September 29 on Netflix.

@ElbuenEchoes None of it has filler if you skip the filler. You can always come back to it later We watched the filler until we got to Wano, at which point we skipped all the filler (Wano was too good) and then came back to it after finishing Egghead.

¿Cual es el arco de One Piece en el anime que tiene mas relleno? Y no solamente hablo de arcos no canon, sino de esa manía de estirar las escenas

@Kirox25 This isn’t just physical strength. Zoro has tons of Haki. Haki is gradually developed throughout the series, and receives a bit of exposition after Marineford.

Pregunta para los fans de one piece que van al día, ¿en algún momento se explica porque ciertos personajes tienen superfuerza si no posen fruta del diablo?

@Nataly_Parks Worth it. I read it on the Shonen Jump app from August to December of 2024, and have been staying caught up on it since then. The chapters are not long. Many have a lot of action and less dialogue, and you fly through those. There are some that are dialogue and exposition heavy.

@gidenav The King of Elfland’s Daughter by Lord Dunsany. The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia McKillip. Poul Anderson’s The Broken Sword (not the revised edition which watered down the language). These are more common recs: Lieber’s Lankhmar books, Zelazny’s Amber, Moorcock’s Elric.

You’re given $2m. You have 20 minutes to spend it. You can’t spend it on cars, airplanes, yacht or a house. You can’t spend it on golds or diamonds either. What will you buy??

@leoxetina 2 episodes a day takes about a year and a half. You won’t be able to watch just two sometimes when you get to Whole Cake and Wano though.

@jayjjalen I don’t think there are fake comic book fans. I was going to say something about those that hate manga, or have never read an indie comic, but that would describe my teenage self (one small town comic shop with only mainstream titles, no manga in the bookstore or the library).

@EnokiNoel We’re 2 episodes in season 2 of the live action, but have caught up on the anime and manga. So far, any “Easter eggs” I’ve seen are more foreshadowing than outright spoilers.

I’m at the end of thriller bark in One piece. Can I watch the Live Action Season 2? Or is it riddled with spoilers from episodes far into my future? 😭❤️‍🩹

🎙Eiichiro Oda : There are adults that kill people while declaring, "This is a holy war!", or "This is justice!" And there are children that see that. One Piece will continue for quite some time. All the while praying for world peace. My inner thoughts are always: world peace.

@Indemosyd I love anime! In Japan, 35% of One Piece viewers are 40+ and 16% of One Piece viewers are 50+. The idea that adults should stop watching cartoons is probably an antiquated holdover from American Christian ethics (Puritanism, etc.) When you get old, you still like what you like.

My boys and I finished the One Piece anime a little over two weeks ago. We started a little more than a year and a half ago and watched two a day, sometimes 3 (especially Wano and Egghead, amazing arcs). We still have the movies, having only watched Strong World #onepiece

@MU_sings @TomBilyeu Part of the confusion for U.S. viewers is that Funimation targeted adult audiences with the show, adding profanity that was not in the original, and airing it on Adult Swim. This is why many people view it as adult content in the U.S., because this is how it was marketed to them.

@MU_sings @TomBilyeu When One Piece started (1997 manga/ 1999 anime) much of its audience were children and teens. It still runs in Shonen Jump manga, a magazine targeting ages 10-18. The audience has aged with the show, so that in a 2018 annual report 8% were ages 5-9 and 22% 10-19.

I’m 400 episodes into One Piece now, and Oda’s moral compass and insights into the human condition are extraordinary. If you have kids of appropriate age, this is a must. On par with Harry Potter.

@MU_sings @TomBilyeu Based on his responses in the letter columns in early volumes, the creator, Eiichiro Oda, felt that his primary audience was the kids.
