K9 Sunset Notice Following DAO governance, the project is entering a formal sunset phase. Upon completion, all contractual relationships between the Foundation and the DAO will be null and void. This includes, but is not limited to, budgets, contractors, software, service providers, and any other operational agreements. The Foundation will discontinue all involvement. The DAO may operate independently, if at all. The Foundation may, at the DAO's discretion, transfer funds to the future efforts. Budgeting, cost reduction, and execution of the community-voted option are being prioritized during the sunset process. All knBONE users must withdraw their assets from Shibarium immediately. Assets remaining after sundown may be at risk of loss. KNINE holders are not required to take any action. A snapshot of KNINE holdings on Shibarium will be taken. Any claims related to the Shibarium Hack may be directed to shib.io through the “Shib Owes You” process. Continued interaction with K9 or DAO channels constitutes acknowledgment of this Sunset Notice and its legal terms. Full notice below.

Final Notice: Remove knBONE from Shibarium The Shibarium bridge hack occurred on September 12, 2025. K9 Finance DAO officially sunset Shibarium products on January 6, 2026. As of March 24 2026, it has been nearly 6 months since the hack and 3 months since the shutdown. Users have had ample time to migrate off Shibarium, and K9 Finance DAO has extended courtesy beyond industry standard to ensure that our users were supported during the shutdown. Despite that, 322,500 knBONE is still sitting on Shibarium. That includes: ▪️115,740 knBONE in the knBONE/BONE pool on Shibaswap ▪️3,212 knBONE in the knBONE/KNINE pool on Shibaswap This is the final notice to remove your knBONE from Shibarium. The final deadline to withdraw your knBONE is May 30th, 2026. If your knBONE is still there after May 30: ▪️A snapshot will be taken ▪️The knBONE contract will be paused ▪️The equivalent BONE will be sent manually to the same Ethereum address previously used by the holder in connection with that position ▪️There will be an operational fee to cover costs and fees *For example, if Wallet A has 10 knBONE on Ethereum, then Wallet A will be sent 10-(fee) BONE on Ethereum This process: ▪️Must be handled manually ▪️Is not guaranteed ▪️Will have no support (unless independently offered by an unaffiliated community member) after this date This is a good-faith extension by K9 Finance DAO for users who did not follow the original shutdown instructions. ShibaSwap Liquidity: Read Carefully Unfortunately, this good-faith extension cannot be applied to users who have knBONE in liquidity pools on ShibaSwap. It is not possible. If your knBONE remains in a ShibaSwap pool after May 30: ▪️It will be inaccessible from K9’s side ▪️There will be no recovery or support from K9 If you are in a pool, you must remove liquidity before the deadline. If you need help, you will need to contact the Shiba Inu ecosystem directly. Contract Status The knBONE contract will be paused after May 30th 2026, meaning: ▪️No further use on Shibarium ▪️You will be unable to transfer or do any transaction with knBONE on Shibarium Final Reminder ▪️It has been 6 months since Shibarium was hacked & K9 users had their funds stolen by the Shibarium hacker ▪️It has been 3 months since the K9 Finance DAO voted to cease operating on Shibarium and shut down ▪️This is the last call to remove your knBONE Withdraw your knBONE and remove any liquidity positions before May 30, 2026. This is the final official notice.

Most of the K9 community probably isn't watching what's happening with Balancer right now. That's fine, it's not an obvious connection. But it's worth a few minutes of your attention. Balancer is one of the more established DeFi protocols around, and they've just put forward proposals that would fundamentally change how the system operates. Not because the tech failed or the product stopped working, but because the economics around it stopped making sense. They're talking about ending emissions, restructuring incentives, shrinking the operation, and forcing the protocol to run on something much closer to real revenue. That's not a minor adjustment. That's a reset, and it's happening after an exploit, a long recovery period, and a lot of internal pressure. This is what it actually looks like when a serious protocol hits friction and has to make decisions that aren't easy, popular, or comfortable. The temptation in DeFi is always to read those moments as failure, or as proof that something is broken or that leadership doesn't know what they're doing. But some of the most necessary moves a project can make are also the most uncomfortable ones to watch. The K9 community has been sitting with some of that discomfort. The decision to sunset Shibarium support wasn't the kind of announcement anyone wanted to see, and it didn't feel good. But you're not in unusual company. Serious projects making hard calls to survive and sharpen themselves. That's not a K9 story, that's a DeFi story right now. The difference between projects that make it and ones that don't often comes down to whether leadership is willing to make the call that looks bad before it looks right. That's worth something. Even when it doesn't feel like it yet.

Why we did it: - To ensure a clean starting point for the migration to BASE. - To guarantee that all holders are properly accounted for before minting on the new chain. - To protect the integrity of the DAO-approved migration plan.
