Considering a zero-turn mower? This checklist should help. Remember: always run the mower and listen. Healthy engines sound deep, smooth, and solid with a nice hum: no popping, backfiring, ticking, or knocking, and throttles up quickly, with no hesitation or RPM overshoot.

@CCRJSamson Hi John, it depends upon the use of the engine. The FX engine was designed as a heavy duty commercial engine with canister air filtration. For home owners, the FR engine would be an ideal choice. All Kawasaki engines are premium, just designed to fit different conditions.
