Don’t waste your vote on Thursday- the only way to stop this is to vote @ScottishLabour Labour returned 37 MP’s in 2024 and can do it again in this election. Back then the polls predicted Labour would win between 12 - 20 seats and they won 37. It’s really important to come and vote on Thursday. If you have forgotten to return your postal vote take it to any polling station in your area and put it in the ballot box. Do not let John Swinney start a nightmare on Friday morning throwing Scotland under the a bus.

EXCLUSIVE: John Swinney will demand immediate talks with Downing Street on an IndyRef2 if the SNP wins a Holyrood majority this week. dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/…

@SirSimonClarke If integration isn’t working currently by sending them to hotels, HMO’s, in communities that don’t want them, why not have them in communities that desire their presence. All sounds rather sensible to me. Am sure residents will go all out to help them, more harmony less angst.

We need to stop illegal immigration, but this is abhorrent from Reform. Zia is proposing the siting of detention centres expressly as a form of political punishment for people and places that don’t vote Reform - not just Green, but presumably Conservative, Liberal and Labour too. (And what about Reform voters in those constituencies?) It would almost certainly be deemed an abuse of ministerial power for political purposes, and as such would likely be stuck down in court before ever being implemented, wasting millions for the taxpayer without detaining anyone. If it were to go ahead, it would still represent an appalling waste of public money as these sites might well not be in any way suitable for the proposed centres, or near the other infrastructure required. What’s worse is that he is doing all this to provoke outrage and draw attention to Reform a few days out from the local elections. Reform know what they are doing. But this goes beyond a pre-election stunt. It’s declared as a major policy commitment, and should be treated as such. We need a proper plan to leave the ECHR and restore safe border controls, not gimmicks that wouldn’t survive first contact with reality.
Zia Yusuf@ZiaYusufUK

Today we announce a new policy: In order to deport all illegal migrants in Britain, Reform will need to detain tens of thousands at a time. Migrants will not be able to leave these detention centres, and each will be held there a couple of weeks before being deported. So here’s our promise: A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP. Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council. And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres. Put simply, if you vote in a Reform council or Reform MP, we guarantee you won’t have a detention centre near you. If you vote Green, there’s a good chance you will. This is an important exercise in democratic consent, not just for our mass deportation policy, but for where the detention centres are placed. Given @ZackPolanski openly advocates for open borders, I look forward to their warm embrace of this policy. votegreengetillegals.com

@MikeTappTweets Hmmm well let’s say if he did what’s the cost to the taxpayer? What’s the cost to the tax payer for the marauding dimwits you allow into the country via small boats? I’m more interested in the latter to be perfectly honest. Have all labour donations been squeaky clean? 🤷‍♀️

@_HenryBolton I think part of this is to get the greens to come out against it, theoretically you can’t be for uncontrolled immigration and open borders then not be prepared to have in your own back yard. 🤷‍♀️

Reform says it will build new immigration centres in areas that vote Green. Democratic politics is not punitive. Authoritarian politics is. Illegal immigration policy, including the location of any detention centres, should be based on national objectives and requirements, security, operational necessity, efficiency, and logistics such as access to airfields for removal, not on punishing whole communities for how some - perhaps a minority - of them voted. As a policy is not only inefficient, it’s confrontational and deliberately divisive. It’d set voters against voters and councils against central government when the real task is to restore national control. Furthermore, detention centres should be offshore, or at least remote and secure, not dumped into population centres as a political stunt. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/0…

@BasilTheGreat This is what the political class, lawyers and judges have decided is in our best interests. Our women, kids mean nothing to them. That made me want to vomit. Every PM starting with Blair is responsible and it’s not going to stop. Vote supporting parties out or it will get worse.

A five year term, decisively won by @Keir_Starmer is not a revolving door for Westminster intrigue but a contract with the country. The challenge is to ensure that delivery is seen and felt in people’s lives. That is the responsibility of all of us. #VoteLabour
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

Keir Starmer makes clear he has no intention of standing aside telling @BBCr4today: “I was elected in July 24 on a manifesto of change. “It was a five-year term that I won with a landslide victory, and I'll be judged at the end of that period, at the next election, by whether I've delivered on what I promised”

@empire_res66190 @macnahgalla Conservative as the current SNP MSP is woefully poor for the area. Tory candidate is the only one that has engaged with community for years, is actually seen, asks questions on our behalf, and holds the SNP to account. So they get my vote.
