@Liz_Cheney The USA and UK gave security guaranties to Ukraine in 1994 with the Budapest Agreement under which Ukraine gave up its nukes. I guess Ukraine should have kept the nukes because USA support is unreliable.

Here is some truth: Putin invaded Ukraine. NATO is the most successful military alliance in history. Since 1945, American leadership has ensured freedom and security for ourselves and millions of others around the world. Together with our allies, we defeated the Soviet Union—an empire so evil it had to build gulags and walls to keep its own people in. Destroying America’s alliances and abandoning the cause of freedom is morally and strategically indefensible. Putin will pocket Trump’s naive concessions and demand much more. Appeasement makes a wider war more likely, not less. @realDonaldTrump, @JDVance, and @elonmusk have made clear who they are. Only fools—or Kremlin tools—would abandon NATO, side with Russia, and demand Ukraine surrender in the face of Putin’s brutal aggression.

@dgoold @dennisdoddcbs Mark Reynolds holds the MLB season record for Ks with 223 in 2009, or 1.4/game & in 38% of ABs. Nolan Gorman who has K’d 148 times to date is worse, striking out 1.4x/game but in 41% of ABs. However, Reynolds hit 44 HRs with .260 BA and .892 OPS vs .204 BA for Nolan & .680 OPS.

@dgoold @dennisdoddcbs Royals were bargain basement free agent shoppers. But for Bobby Witt, Cards have better talent. The Royals have a better manager, run the bases better, and most of all, they have the second lowest strikeout rate in MLB. Royals just play better baseball with less talent.

Something in the boxscores at KC caught my eye … For the first time since the advent of interleague play, the Royals had larger home crowds at Kauffman Stadium for games against the Cardinals than Cardinals did at Busch for Royals’ visit. More: stltoday.com/sports/profess…

Once each year, I “help” brew a batch of Bier. Chad is milling/mashing in to start our annual Carolator Doppelbock Hell. It will be released on Ash Wednesday at end of Feb., with the Eisbock version, Koenig Eisbock, released just before Easter.

On our last day in Germany, @KCBierCo head brewer Karlton and I stopped by brewery manufacturer #Braukon in southeast Bavaria to checkout their equipment. Now, why would we do that?

Visited Brewery Cantillon in Brussels, brewer of Lambic (sour, spontaneously fermented). Attic coolship where the wort is cooled while being inoculated from 100 wild yeast strains, 27 types of acetobacter, and 38 strains of lacto-bacteria. Many roads lead to good beer!@kcbierco
