The rate at which the Chandler logo moves in comparison to the trail forearm in this clip says a lot

I love to see visuals like this. At no point in either arc is the knob and barrel moving forward at the same rate. I see a lot of drills currently that promote dragging the handle forward in an effort to maintain direction through middle. Not ideal

@hossjob Exactly! At some point the knob has to stop and exit towards the hitters pull side so the barrel can release properly and work through impact. I see a lot of “path work” drills and misconceptions about impact that inhibit this action

@KC_Judge Great visual. Thanks for sharing. Excellent points about “knob” action. If the knob is moving straight up the middle 1) it can’t act as a fulcrum for the barrel, 2) you’re going to run out of “rope” at some point.

Very talented Sophomore playing down in Fort Myers this weekend. Macen Collura, Faith Lutheran HS ‘26. Easy juice sitting 92+ EV tonight with a Baum bat. Have seen a lot of good HS kids over the years. This is one of the most impressive

That’s an exciting topic around motor preferences™️. It's a really good question, and yes, knowing your preferences can make you make crucial adjustments in shaft length, lie angle, and way more…. The answers are still ongoing... For example, I have an Aerial golfer with double-chain extension, and he is tall, which means his posture at the address looks high and lofty. He had to adjust the length of his clubs for longer because we didn’t want him to feel too flexed on his spine to reach the ground while setting up and shut down his upper body preference but instead keeping a more natural posture. For club length, we could also talk of course morphology, wingspan compared to height, etc. Pick the perfect lie angle between standard, upright, or flat, depending on your turf interaction and your natural ball flight…. A great swing can have a lousy outcome with the wrong lie angle, no doubt… something you check at the end when you feel that you have integrated your motor preferences™️ but still do not have the perfect outcome… for example, with my new clubs, I had to flatten a bit my lie angle, was too upright for me from the original lie and my shots were finishing too much left. I naturally shallow the club based on my hands/arms/shoulders preferences. Another exciting topic is if you are an Axial or Large Golfer; this preference can affect the type of clubs you will choose. Axial, loves to set up their wrist early, fold the right elbow early, and more IN. Those players love to feel more working the club head, but the Large will set up their wrist way late in their swing, and keep the right elbow more out, they love to feel more swinging the shaft and not the club head… can have a huge influence on how you pick your clubs… Finally, for me, the hottest topic is picking the right golf shoes based on your profile… for example, a client has a solid terrestrial profile, but his shoes have a raised heel. At the start of his takeaway, he was on his toes, opposite of what we want…. He couldn’t stay in his natural balance because of his shoes. .. #motorpreferences

👀#golf Motor Preferences ™️ Do we really lead with our hips at the start of the downswing? Is that our only source of true power? If you are a Terrestrial golfer, the answer is probably yes... but if you are an Aerial, probably not... Terrestrial source of power➡️HIPS. They pull the core and pass the ground away. The dominant model in golf. Aerial source of power ➡️SHOULDERS. They generate a rebound effect by initiating the motion with a deliberate drop of the shoulders. This alternative model is not often taught. They are both equally performant. Swing and train in your motor preferences™️ and respect how your body wants to move. #motorpreferences #golfcoach #golftips #golfer #golfing #golfswing #pgatour @MotorPreference
