Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan discovered nearly 4,000 theorems and equations, original and revolutionary. Some of his findings were so advanced that they remained unproven for decades after his death. He also foresaw several ideas that later emerged in modern mathematics and physics, including modular forms, string theory, and black hole cosmology.

The Indian mathematician Ramanujan (1887-1920) gave several complex and accurate equations without proof. He said that they were revealed to him in dreams by a Hindu Goddess. It took 70 years for the world to work out proofs for his equations.

Today is a historic day. India has entered 2nd stage of our three stage nuclear power program with the achievement of clriticality of PFBR. Congratulations to every contributor to this critical technology that makes India only the second country to operate a large fast reactor.

Today, India takes a defining step in its civil nuclear journey, advancing the second stage of its nuclear programme. The indigenously designed and built Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam has attained criticality. This advanced reactor, capable of producing more fuel than it consumes, reflects the depth of our scientific capability and the strength of our engineering enterprise. It is a decisive step towards harnessing our vast thorium reserves in the third stage of the programme. A proud moment for India. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers.

This is not about choosing one over the other, but about recognising that not all influence is the same. The power of the mic, the pen, and the camera, backed by an understanding of mass communication, will always matter. Strong and independent voices should not be sidelined. At times, they are essential for balance, clarity, and trust. Because not every opinion can be purchased. Some have to remain organic. What do you think?

The 20-metre wooden INSV Kaundinya, hand-stitched with coir ropes in the style of 5th-century vessels depicted in the Ajanta Caves, successfully completed its 18-day, engine-less voyage from Porbandar to Muscat, retracing ancient Indian Ocean trade routes. Hailing the milestone, the mastermind of the project, @sanjeevsanyal said the expedition proves that India’s traditional shipbuilding and navigational knowledge was fully capable of long open-sea voyages.
