The public participation process remains ongoing across the country, with additional town hall meetings scheduled in Mombasa, Kisumu, Isiolo, Garissa, and Nyeri.

Last week, the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) held a public participation town hall meeting in Nairobi as part of our ongoing nationwide stakeholder engagement on proposed amendments to the Kenya Deposit Insurance regulatory framework.

The activity further highlighted the importance of working alongside communities in protecting ecosystems that support livelihoods, water sources, and future generations. #SaferStrongerTogether #KDIC

The exercise also contributes to the national goal of growing 15 billion trees by 2032 under the Government’s climate action and ecosystem restoration programme.

This week, KDIC joined communities in Kericho and Sorget Forests in a tree growing exercise aimed at supporting ongoing national re-afforestation and environmental conservation efforts.
