@moorehn @andruyeung I had to scroll a while before I saw this re trust & safety. Those who recall TLC Medallion pricing - there was a sense of implied safety. Taxi drivers were so tied to the medallion because it was so cost prohibitive they wouldn't risk losing it, now a medallion isn't the same.

@andruyeung If you're a woman and the driver is sketchy towards you...what does the app say about that? There are concerns beyond price.

I hope Mr. Brandt doesn't plan to continue leading @astoundconnects in such a NOT "customer-first" way for existing/future customers. He has his work cut out for him. He should consider hiring @KDLSsays for advisory work as he transitions into his new role/the organization.

Like clockwork, I have called @astoundconnects waited exactly 30 min to be connected to a rep, I start describing the issue to the rep & then they hang up. It's happened 4 times in a row tonight. This is how they design customer service. This is INSANE!

@FranciscoMoyaNY quick question on the Willets Point project. Will the LIRR & 7 train stops be upgraded for full wheelchair accessibility? The LIRR isn't ADA compliant at all & the 7 train is pretty abysmal. It's awful when projects aren't practical for those with disabilities.

Why doesn't @googlemaps include @NYCferry directions in NYC? So weird in 2025. More people would ride the ferry, if those directions were included as options. The ferry is the best way to travel! We need more routes crossing the East River -- not just 34th St and Pier 11.

As I sit in NYC traffic once again on this Thursday morning, I'm still waiting on factual results, from someone other than MTA or Gov Hochul, that congestion pricing is actually reducing traffic. Based on my experiences, it's not.

There's a lot changing & developing in AI. I hope @TechCrunch will continue to cover all of the players but with the same level of depth. Unfortunately everyone doesn't tinker with all of the models like I do, so folks look to outlets like TC for guidance & it can be better.

Of the 3 articles, the OpenAI article goes into most detail & the one on Anthropic offers the least detail about the model itself. The huge miss is the transparent nature of Claude playing Pokémon on Twitch is important in the AI race, but details on the model are still needed.

I'm very curious about @TechCrunch 's headlines re AI models. This week TC had headlines about @OpenAI , @AnthropicAI and @perplexity_ai but the only headline that was directly about the new model was the one for OpenAI. Claude and Perplexity both released new models too ICYMI.

@GeminiApp I followed the instructions days ago to "turn off" @GeminiApp and yet it is still appearing in my inbox. I want Gemini out of my inbox on my app and on desktop. I want it out period!

Has someone figured out how to get @GeminiApp out of @GoogleWorkspace for Enterprise & Business customers yet? I especially want it out of the app on my phone ASAP! I have accidentally swiped & gotten "polish" no less than 5 times just writing a basic email. I DON'T WANT IT!

I'm immediately seeking a new email app that DOES NOT INCLUDE any GenerativeAI tools. @Google thinks they're "helping" forcing @GeminiApp on enterprise customers but from what I've seen on the comments pages on Google, it's only infuriated customers. #NoGeminiinGmail
