😂 I made my kid carry around a useless phone for a year to show they could manage the responsibility (and lessen the optics of being the weirdo who wasn’t allowed a phone if no one pried too much). At 14, I conceded when the year was complete I was presented with a well written persuasive essay (not at my suggestion!) on why it was appropriate and safe to have at that age. 😂😂😂 It was very persuasive… and so an (open access on demand 👀) phone happened. lol

I was a kid in the 90s, and by the time I was 12 I had stayed at my friends houses hundreds of nights for sleepovers. My friends stayed with me hundreds of nights for sleepovers. Video games. Making home movies. Snacks. Bewshittin'. My sons are 8 and 12 and neither of them have ever been to a sleepover. Neither of them have ever tried to get one cooking at my house. And don't get me wrong - I do NOT want other kids at my house. But I wouldn't deny my kids the opportunity to make those memories. Are sleepovers just not a thing anymore? What is going on?

Not a city, nor a state, either. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve heard Spencer’s response to this, and he humbly admits he doesn’t know all that’s involved, but is eager to learn what he doesn’t know. He isn’t dumb, has tons of resources and support and will compile a solid team of advisors. It isn’t a one man show. The mechanics are the easy part. The perspective and loyalty to representation of the people’s needs is what matters, and he’s nailing it, so far with a lot of common sense. I hope he wins in a landslide!

I’ve been in the public eye most of my life and there isn’t any dirt you can find on me that hasn’t already been aired. Seems like the only thing people don’t know is my voter registration, so here go: I registered Republican in 2020 and never changed it. And I wasn’t going to change it now just to check a different box. This is a non-partisan race - there will be no D or R next to my name. As Mayor, I will not serve either party. I will work with anyone who wants to help the City. No labels necessary.
