We had a fantastic day with Matt Oldfield @footieheroesbks, learning how to write our own sporting biographies and finding out what it's like to write about the best footballers in the world!

World Book Week begins with a mild existential crisis as, after a talk on what, why and how I write, a child asks “How can you do this?”

We had a wonderful time hosting AF Steadman @annabelwriter yesterday. Our students were totally engaged in the magical storytelling and creative process. It was a pleasure having our local schools visiting too!

Our year 7s and 8s had a wonderful time with @HibaNoorKhan1 this afternoon. A thoroughly fascinating talk about her new book and the role the Grand Mosque of Paris played in WW2. You've made lots of new fans Hiba!

We are delighted to be part of this year's Word Play festival organised by @BraveWren. We've had an amazing virtual session with @JeffreyBoakye88 and looking forward to welcoming @HibaNoorKhan1 to our school tomorrow. A real literary feast!

We had such a wonderful time today with @catwrote! Amazing writing from our year 7 workshop group and a fascinting talk from Catherine about her historical fiction influences and research.

So excited to have @catwrote visiting Camp Hill tomorrow! Some of our year 7s will be working with Catherine in a creative writing workshop and then a Sawbones talk for all of year 7 and 8. A real celebration of historical fiction!
